 Hi, I'm Barnaby
Bee the favourite mascot and cuddly friend of
Diabetes Christchurch
and 40 other diabetes societies throughout New Zealand. I can be a great
friend for you or a special gift for you to give to someone special or
someone you may know
who has diabetes. I
am extremely clever as I jump up and down when you attach a bungy
spring to my head. I can squeak when you squeeze my foot and BJ (my
little brother, Barnaby Junior) squeaks when you push his nose. I am owned and
loved by children of all ages, hung up and admired by adults and
guaranteed to bring a smile to all. I'm a friendly
face when you wake up in the morning, and a guardian angel to watch over
you by night. BJ and I are both inexpensive to
buy and don't cost much to keep ~ just a few cuddles

We
have both been developed by Diabetes Christchurch to raise AWARENESS about
diabetes and we carry the Diabetes "Bee Aware" emblem on our
wings. We are
a fun way of attracting donations and raising funds for people with
diabetes to help provide: support for our members, community education and awareness programmes,
brochures, information leaflets and resources about diabetes, support
for research, advocacy and lobbying for people with diabetes, sponsorship and camps."BEE
